  16.   INTRODUCTION
  17.  
  18.   NewDate 2 is a program which allows you to display the date on
  19.   your system in many different languages and many formats.  The
  20.   datafile supplied here will be of use to you, probably, if you
  21.   speak the language in the datafile.  So far NewDate 2 supports
  22.   19 languages.  All of these are available on Aminet for download.

  24.   NewDate 2 has many advantages over the standard Commodore Date
  25.   command.  
  26.  
  27.   Please consult the AmigaGuide in the main NewDate 2 archive for
  28.   instructions on how to use the datafile you have downloaded.

  30.   NewDate 2 was also featured on the October 97 CU-Amiga Magazine
  31.   Cover CD. (TFX-Edition).

  34.   *IMPORTANT*
  35.  
  36.   It is important when you have unarchived the NewDate 2 main archive
  37.   that you rename the file 'NewDate.data' to 'NewDate.data.backup'.
  38.   For example from a Shell/CLI:-

  40.    c:rename ram:NewDate.data to ram:NewDate.data.backup
  41.  
  42.   Once you have done that, rename your new datafile you have just
  43.   obtained to 'NewDate.data'.  For example from a Shell/CLI:-

  45.    c:rename ram:ND2-ENG.data to ram:NewDate.data
  46.  
  47.   You are now ready for using NewDate 2.  This is where you should
  48.   consult the AmigaGuide documentation supplied with the main program.
